PhD Summer Course: K.G. Jebsen Centre for the Law of the Sea

The K.G. Jebsen Centre for the Law of the Sea (JCLOS) is arranging a PhD student summer course entitled ‘methodology and legal science within the international Law of the sea’. It will be held at Sommarøya (Summer Island), Norway, from the 4 – 5 June 2015.

European Maritime Day 2015 Conference

The largest annual maritime conference in Europe will be held in Piraeus (Greece) on 28 and 29 May 2015. This year, the conference will focus on the role of ports and coasts as gateways to maritime growth. Many events are being organised: political sessions, workshops, face-to-face meetings, exhibitions and a networking reception. More information can be found here.

Tulane Law School Summer Abroad 2015

Applications for the 2015 Programs of the Tulane Law School Summer Abroad are now being accepted. The course on “Maritime Law, Law of the Sea and Ocean Management” is to happen in Rhodes on May 17 – June 5, 2015. You can find more information on the application procedure here. Conference: People & the Sea VIII

The Centre for Maritime Research (MARE) will host the 8th People and Sea Conference in Amsterdam on the 24-26 June 2015. The theme shall be ‘Geopolitics of the Oceans’. Participants can propose the presentation of papers, posters and other visual materials. The deadline for submissions is January 31st, 2015. More information and submission forms can be found here.
