Calls/Events: Rounding the Cape ‒ Storms or Good Hope for the Law at Sea?

The South African Research Chair in the Law of the Sea and Development in Africa will host a conference entitled Rounding the Cape ‒ Storms or Good Hope for the Law at Sea?, to be held in Cape Town (South Africa), on 28-30 April 2025. The themes of the conference are as follows: (a) Resource-related tensions, (b) Safety, security and AI-related tensions, (c) Human rights-related jurisdictional challenges and (d) The future of the law of the sea and maritime law in Africa. Abstracts and expressions of interest for discussants are welcome until 15 November 2024. Registration for participation online or at the venue is available here.
