The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea has just announced the 2015-2016 capacity-building and training programme on dispute settlement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The programme was established in 2007 with the financial support of the Nippon Foundation. The 9th programme will be conducted within a period of 9 months from 15 July 2015 to 31 March 2016. Training will take place principally at the ITLOS premises in Hamburg, Germany.Targeted participants are young government officials or researchers currently working on issues of the law of the sea or dispute settlement who are looking to develop their legal skills and deepen their practical knowledge of the settlement of disputes mechanisms.
