The World Maritime University is hosting the 43rd Annual Conference of the Center for Oceans Law and Policy (COLP), University of Virginia School of Law. The event shall be held in Malmö, Sweden, from 14-17 May 2019. The conference title is Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction: Intractable Challenges & Potential Solutions and it will discuss the development of an internationally legally binding instrument under UNCLOS on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biological diversity of areas beyond national jurisdiction (BBNJ).
