Concluding “De Maribus”

After more than a decade of uninterrupted blogging, De Maribus has now laid anchor. Future updates will appear only sporadically on the editor’s personal social media profiles, where we kindly redirect you.

Thank you for your years of digital companionship and for all the supportive messages. The site will remain online to ensure that publications linking to our posts are not affected. However, we will no longer maintain a paid subscription, so advertisements may eventually appear.

This deeply saddens me. This blog has been an incredibly useful resource for me over the last few years. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

  4. This really is the end of an era. Your deep dives into maritime law and history were always a unique corner of the internet I looked forward to, especially the posts analyzing obscure shipping routes. It’s bittersweet knowing the archive will stay but the conversation will quiet down. Wishing the editors calm seas ahead.
